This month, for our school’s “180 Days of Awesome” campaign, Anthony Wayne has been participating in a program called “Operation Shoebox.” Our school is collecting certain supplies to send overseas to our U.S. troops. Students and teachers can donate by placing the items in the boxes located at the front of the school. From there, all of the donations will be sent in care packages to troops that are stationed all over the world in honor of the holiday season.
However, the program prefers that the items not be aerosol, and be kept in their original packaging to make it easier to deliver. Some of the products that are most requested by U.S. troops are lip balm, cereal, cookies, toothpaste, and gum (check out the link at the bottom of this article for the full list of preferred items). Become a Secret Santa to hundreds of men and women who are working tirelessly to protect our country. So, get in the holiday spirit, and remember: It’s always better to give than to receive!
