As the years progress, our technology grows with us. Recently, in Japan the Henn-na Hotel proved this to be a true statement. Opening in July of this year the hotel is currently working on providing a full staff of not humans, but highly advanced robots. These robots are called Actroids, and will fully take on the functions of regular workers. Their features give them an ability to maintain eye contact and respond to body movement. These robots are said to be able to stack luggage, clean rooms, make coffee, deliver laundry, and even work as hotel receptionists.
The hotel does not only take pride in their use of robots, but it also includes other forms of unique technology. It contains doors with facial recognition that could automatically open hotel rooms. In addition, it includes a heating system that picks up the guests body temperature and raises or lowers the temperature of the room based on its readings. This allows the guests to sit back, relax, and stay comfortable in a fully-adaptable environment.
Although, this hotel has only seventy-two rooms its prices are still incredibly affordable. The most expensive room is known to be $135 per night. It is because of this convenient price and small size that bidders are going crazy to be one of the first to stay at the hotel. Even now, people are constantly sending in new offers to stay in the Henn-na. But, not all employees will be robotic. The owner of the Henn-na Hotel will be hiring ten living people to overlook the premises and make sure that nothing goes wrong. Who knows, maybe one day it could. There is no denying that technology is increasing at an alarming rate, but there is absolutely no worrying about any robot invasion. Hopefully they will have a self-destruct button, just in case.
