Many of us would have thought that Valentine's Day is the only holiday in February, but there is a cultural holiday that is honored for the Chinese people. The Chinese New Year has arrived! During their New Year's Eve, Chinese family and friends get together and have a Reunion Dinner. At dinner time fish and dumplings are usually served and represents prosperity. After dinner, also known as "Shou Sui," people will be awake until 12:00 a.m. or for the whole night. On New Years Eve, Chinese people will give red packets to each other which have money in them. These red packets are given to suppress the evil and protect the children and adults from the danger of "Loss". Finally, the Chinese people blow fireworks at 12:00 a.m. to drive all the evil spirits away to bring out all the good luck! Happy Chinese New Year 4713! - Edited by: Andy By Supritaa M.
Cupid shot me with a dart
Hitting straight into my heart New emotions came to me Blind with love, I could not see All around me seemed so bright I no longer had to fight Finally, my life was sweet Days became to me a treat! Everyday seemed great and new As my thoughts lingered on you Tears had long dried off my face Disappearing into space This was love and it was deep Till you got me gifts too cheap!
